A tiny home for an urban couple. The challenge was to maximise the actual, usable and psychological space in a 3m-wide plot, so every millimetre was made to count.

Phibsborough House Kitchen
The existing house was gutted and expanded to the rear, leaving a rectangular external space facing south and fringed with bamboo. Built-in storage was hidden in pochet spaces and bright finishes including a cross-grained plywood floor were selected.
Features incorporated to enhance the feeling of space and comfort include the gas hob, Corian kitchen counter and sustainably-sourced double-glazed hardwood tilt + turn windows and mobile furniture. A pivot door opens most of the rear wall to the yarden.
