Hello

'Space' media stunt, 2008

I’m an architect and sustainable transport advocate from Dublin who’s been involved in advocacy for better urban design and sustainable transport since the early 2000’s.

Motivated by the immensely positive contribution that high levels of cycling for transport can make to city life, I’ve worked with Dublin Cycling Campaign, the Irish Cycling Campaign and Cycling Action Network in New Zealand to help advocate for better cycling provision among national bodies, local authorities and the public.

I ran a small architectural practice from 2000 until 2012 with a mix of commissions from small domestic work to office and retail parks and apartment schemes.

From 2012 to 2018 I worked in New Zealand as a professional advocate for Cycling Action Network, trained adults and kids in cycle confidence and safety and helped run a state-funded empathy-building programme for bus and truck drivers.

In 2020 I took an M.Sc. in Urban Environment in the Geography Department at University College Dublin, and in 2025 obtained a certificate in planning and design for active travel from TU Dublin.

I’m a member of the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland and the Transport Planning Society.
