Biking Cambodia
2018, October 6 – 01:40
A quick ride through the south coast of Cambodia leaves me slightly in awe of this country and its history.
It’s great for my supermarket-oriented eyes to see fresh veg, fish and fruit that you’ve just spotted growing in the countryside -or being caught at sea- displayed for sale. Pic below is market in Koh Kong.

Will’s first proper day on the road in Asia! Sad to leave Saigon but pretty exciting to gradually leave the city behind and, just for a moment, hear only the noise of the bike’s tyres rolling through Vietnam after the city mayhem.

A k-hungry day yesterday got me from lovely Chau Doc to the sea, but sadly too tired today to enjoy it! Apparently 90km is too much for my little legs at this point; hopefully they’ll get used to the heat before long.

Took a while planning and shifting things round but I think it shows how beautifully Cate curated and arranged our lovely home in Ranui Road.

Visiting Barcelona’s Superblocks
2017, December 9 – 14:17
Barcelona in Spain is a city that suffers air pollution, much of it from transport.
Reducing dependence on cars for short trips is one way of tackling pollution, so on a visit there I looked at one of Barcelona’s tactics in weaning short journeys off the car: Superblocks. Here are some photos from my visit to the Poblenou neighbourhood.

Typical Berlin scene
We stayed in Neukölln, an inner suburb of Berlin, for a few weeks and looked at cycling infrastructure and how cyclists seemed to be faring.
